regex_match is available since version 1.0.
Prototype:
number regex_match(string string_to_parse, string pattern)
Parameters
string_to_parse
the subject string
Description:
Regular expression match. Searches string_to_parse for matches to the regular expression given in pattern in a case-sensitive way.
Return value:
Returns non-zero if a match was found, or zero if no match.
